One of Nation's Top Health Care Influencers "e-Patient Dave" Speaking in Lansing
EAST LANSING -- Cooper and Partners' WorkWell Michigan 2012 conference, Sept. 28, will have Dave deBronkart as the keynote speaker.
Known as e-Patient Dave, deBronkart is one of the Nation's top 10 leading influencers of health care according to PC World and ranked in the top 50 most influential people on Twitter.
His compelling TEDx Talk "Let Patients Help" went viral Nationally and Internationally in 2011, and it is in the top half of the most-watched TED talks of all time.
DeBronkart may be the leading spokesperson for the e-Patient movement. E-patients are empowered, engaged, equipped, enabled. He has appeared in Time, U.S. News, and the Health Leaders magazine cover story. In December 2009, HealthLeaders named him and his doctor to their annual list of "20 People Who Make Healthcare Better."
DeBronkart, a high-tech executive and online community leader for many years, was diagnosed in 2007 with Stage IV kidney cancer, with a median survival of just 24 weeks. He used the internet in every way possible to partner with his care team and beat this unbeatable disease. In 2008, Dave discovered the e-patient movement and began studying, blogging and speaking at conferences. He is consistently ranked as an extraordinary speaker nationally and internationally.
The Work Well Michigan 2012 Conference's other speakers include: Judd Allen, president of Human Resources Institute; Sara Luckhaupt, M.D. with the CDC, Co-Coordinator, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health; Brian Scott, workplace research strategist, Ideation Group, Haworth Inc.; and Dr. Dean Sienko, interim Chief Medical Executive for the Michigan Department of Community Health.
The conference is an exclusive program of Cooper & Partners, a Michigan workplace wellness consulting group.
