Nick Fairley And 2011 Draft Class Looking Like It Could Hinder, Not Help, The Lions

With salary cap room tight, therefore limiting the Lions' resources to seek veteran free agents, the NFL Draft later this month figures to be very important to their fate during the 2012 season.
But even more important will be how the players from the Lions' 2011 draft develop.
So far, not so good.
The Lions had five selections in the 2011 draft. Three of those picks — defensive tackle Nick Fairley, running back Mikel Leshoure and offensive tackle Johnny Culbreath — were charged recently for possession of marijuana.
