New Web Site For Green Firm pHurity

Franklin-based pHurity Inc., winner of the 2010 Michigan Green Chemistry Governor's Award for small business, has recently launched a new Web site.

The new www.pHurity.com features the company's wide variety of Michigan-manufactured green cleaning and personal care products.

PHurity, Inc. produces plant-based, renewable and biodegradable green cleaning products for consumer and commercial use. The new Web site includes a listing of 70 specialty grocery and health stores in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio where pHurity products are sold.

All of pHurity's products on the market have received the Environmental Protection Agency's Design for the Environment label. This indicates that scientists and toxicologists have reviewed each ingredient and how it affects living things.

According to pHurity owner and CEO Barbara Kovach, the company submitted  its product formulas to NSF International for testing prior to introducing them to market. NSF is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that is the world leader in standards development, product certification, education and risk-management for public health and safety.

"A lot of our time is spent educating people about what differentiates pHurity products from other so-called green products or cleaners and conventional products that people have been using for years," said Kovach. "There's been a lot of confusion among consumers in the marketplace, and people haven't understood how their personal health or the environment has been impacted by the accumulation of toxins."

Detailed information about each product, including recommended use, is also available on the Web site.

The three-year old company looks forward to expanding its sales to consumers through a variety of retail outlets as well as distribution for commercial and industrial use, including schools, hospitals, restaurants, manufacturers, office buildings and others.
