Multi-Millionaire Entrepreneurs Teaching Their Secrets To Detroiters
DETROIT (WWJ) - A panel of multi-millionaire entrepreneurs will be in Detroit Thursday to teach area residents how to follow in their footsteps. The group will be participating in the "Detroit: Creating Our Own Future" seminar on Thursday, Oct, 20, at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center.
The creator of the $6 billion FUBU brand, Daymond John, currently a panelist on ABC's Shark Tank, will be the keynote speaker.
"People are really indecisive now because they either have tried to become their own entrepreneur and have failed because of the tough economic times or people have had traditional jobs and now they're forced into becoming entrepreneurs because there's nothing else out there," John told WWJ Newsradio 950. "You know, I'm out there to really try to get people to become more engaged and give them that hope."
What message, in particular, will John be delivering to attendees?
"I'm gonna walk people through all the challenges I've had in building all my brands and that it was not an easy step and I got knocked down 99% of the time, and I just kept getting back up. And, I'm gonna explain to people that even now, I still face challenges. Those are the messages that I'm gonna bring. And then I'm gonna give them some keys in regards to success."
