More Reforms Coming For Failing DPS Schools
DETROIT (WWJ) - Major reforms will be announced Monday for the Detroit Public School System.
The Detroit Free Press reports Governor Rick Snyder and State School Superintendent Mike Flannigan will be in town to outline a plan that would see failing schools in the district run under a separate authority.
The authority would be funded by several philanthropic groups and foundations and run by DPS Emergency Financial Manager Roy Roberts.
