Michigan Township Supervisor Accused Of Driving 'Super Drunk'

MARINE CITY, Mich. (AP) - The top elected official in a St. Clair County community has been charged with driving while she was super drunk.

Cottrellville Township Supervisor Kelly Fiscelli was arraigned Tuesday in Marine City District Court on a charge of operating with a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent or more. She's free on $10,000 bond.

The Times Herald of Port Huron says Clay Township police stopped the 46-year-old official Feb. 12. A police report says a breath test measured her blood alcohol level at 0.28 percent. That's 3 1/2 times Michigan's 0.08 percent drunken driving standard.

The penalty for driving while super drunk is up to six months in jail.

Fiscelli has a March 11 pretrial hearing. The Associated Press left a message seeking comment with her lawyer Wednesday.
