Michigan Suspends Backup Safety Josh Furman
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan has suspended backup safety Josh Furman from the football program.
The school didn't disclose Monday why coach Brady Hoke kicked Furman off the team.
Furman made 10 tackles in 12 games last season as a redshirt freshman. He was used in two games as a backup in the secondary and in 12 on special teams. Furman, who is from Annapolis, Md., blocked a punt in the win over Nebraska.
