Michigan Experts In Online Training Launch New Web Site Offering Business Video Tutorials
Remember those scenes in "The Matrix" where the characters needed skills quickly and got them downloaded via computer?
Michigan entrepreneurs Maureen and Mike Foresman say those scenes are the inspiration behind their new business, Intellimins LLC.
Intellimins is a Web-based startup equipped with business training videos and templates that quickly and easily get training and other information to business professionals.
The Web site was designed and developed by two Michigan companies, Core3Solutions and the IW Center.
The name is a contraction of "Intelligence in Minutes."
"Intellimins' mission is to improve the performance and career development of motivated professionals by creating a site that makes valuable skills and tools easy to find, assimilate and deploy in the workplace," Maureen Foresman said.
Topics are explained by industry experts in concise, 3-6 minute videos, often with accompanying actionable templates in Word, Excel or PowerPoint format. Templates are ready to download and immediately put into use. The site is easy to view and use from PCs, tablets and smartphones.
Intellimins' goal is to become the Web's top resource for business professionals looking to enhance their skills in business process management, project management, change management, organizational development, critical thinking and decision-making skills, brand and marketing strategy, facilitating team meetings and workshops, work-life balance and much more.
"We created Intellimins with a respect for your time in mind," Maureen Foresman said. "Intellimins.com is a carefully curated site, built to be your time efficient, reliable source for concise, high-value business concepts, tools and templates."
The pricing model put in place for Intellimins is unlike any other that currently exists for online training videos. Most online learning centers require that you pay a monthly subscription for access to information. In contrast, the Intellimins learning library is a combination of easily accessible, free content (75 percent), as well as premium content that can be quickly purchased via "credits" (25 percent). The initial target price range for Intellimins premium content is $5 to $20, and includes specific "how-to" videos and downloadable templates. Users can browse free content, sign up for an account, buy credits and make a purchase with ease. Intellimins stores solutions for the user under "My Selections" and any unused credits are saved for later use as well.
"We understand that most people search online for educational resources because they are in need of an immediate solution," Mike Foresman said. Co-Founder, Mike Foresman. Mike continues, "Intellimins changes the way people obtain and use information by offering proven, high-value, business tools and templates at your fingertips for an incredible price. In today's workplace, that just makes smart business sense."
Maureen Foresman has sales experience at IBM, Research In Motion, Ascendent Systems, i2 Technologies and AT&T. Mike Foresman's background is in corporate training and consulting with such companies as Comerica Bank, Coalesce Inc. and Governor Business Solutions.
