Michigan 75, Iowa 72

IOWA (WWJ/AP) - Michigan gets a big overtime win against the Hawkeyes 75-72 in Iowa, Saturday.

"We've had a lot of close games," says Michigan head coach John Beilein speaking on the Tony Ortiz Post-Game Show. " When we got down by 11 for a tenth of a second I thought, "this is not good," but we fought and fought and got some easy baskets, we got the road win."

Tim Hardaway had a career high 30 points. "Against Kansas we went into overtime, and remember the outcome, we came into this overtime with a killer instinct," said Hardaway, post game on WWJ.

Hardaway, who scored 22 points in the second half, hit two free throws with 15 seconds left in a one-point game to help the Wolverines (17-11, 7-8 Big Ten) win for the sixth time in eight games.

Iowa missed two 3-pointers in the final six seconds that would have tied the game.

Darius Morris scored 20 points and Jordan Morgan added 18 points for Michigan. The Wolverines allowed a 26-6 run late in the first half and trailed for the first 11 minutes of the second half.

Freshman Melsahn Basabe scored 19 for the Hawkeyes (10-17, 3- 12), who played their second game in three days. Iowa has lost four straight.
