Metro Detroit Hosting World Premiere Of "Why Do Men Cheat?"

DETROIT (WWJ) - The highly-anticipated film "Why Do Men Cheat?" is holding its world premiere in metro Detroit next month. For Detroiters, this is a chance to get a first look at a film that already has Hollywood knocking at the door.

"Why Do Men Cheat?" answers a question "both men and women want to know the answer to, and I think ... we give it a pretty good shot," says actress Kellita "Kelli" Scott, who stars as Michelle, one of the women whose lives are complicated by infidelity and deception.

Why Do Men Cheat

Director Ken Baker, Jr. says the executive producer, Delano Glass, brought the original concept to him and "we set out to make this great documentary on why men cheat, because of his past and all the things he went through as a(n) ex-cheater."

"You're gonna be so surprised at these performances; I mean's it's A-1," says Baker. "Everyone of these people on this film are ... ready for Hollywood."

Yay ... I'm so excited! I can't wait. I'm so excited," added Scott.

The premiere is set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Millennium Centre in Southfield.

In addition to Scott, the multicultural ensemble cast of local and celebrity talent includes Rapper Sandy "Pepa" Denton (of Salt-N-Pepa), actress Cherie Johnson, comedians Damon Williams (Def Comedy Jam), Alex Thomas (The Players Club) and Bobo Lamb (Comic View), along with Wynn Sarden (Spirits In My Bedroom), Dez Cortez and Micheala Hernandez.
