This 30th annual parade begins in the Groves High School parking lot, heads north on Evergreen to Beverly, and then east on Beverly to Beverly Park. Carnival festivities run from noon until 3:00 PM. This is a family friendly event.

This parade has been held for several decades, and is now organized by the Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade Committee. If you want to be near the beginning of the parade, Main and Harrison is the place to be. The route will then proceed north to 2nd street, then east to the Veteran's Memorial.

Volunteers honor fallen soldiers by carrying posters of service men and women who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. If you are interested in volunteering, the staging area is at the corner of West Maplehurst and Livernois Avenue. Those carrying posters should plan to arrive at 8:30am. Parade begins at 10am.
