Meijer Recalls Tea Light Candle Sets
GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) - Meijer is recalling about 7,000, 600 Katie Brown 12-piece tea light candle sets made in India. The Grand Rapids-based retailer says the clear plastic candle holder can catch fire.
There has been one report of the resin cup igniting and burning but no injuries have been reported.
The sets were sold exclusively at Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky from October, 2010, through this March.
The recalled wax tea light candles in clear plastic holders were sold in five different colors/scents: vanilla, spruce, snappy spice, sunny Tuscany and sweet
love. Model numbers are 50181MKB, 50182MKB, 50183MKB, 50184MKB and 50185MKB printed on the bottom of the tea light holder. The wax tea light candles measure approximately 2 inches in diameter. The Katie Brown logo is printed on the clear packaging cover.
