Meet the Tigers' New Second Baseman: Carlos Guillen
Carlos Guillen is moving to second base.
The Tigers announced after Saturday's 7-6 victory over the Red Sox that the veteran will replace rookie Scott Sizemore, who was optioned to Triple-A Toledo, along with struggling starter Max Scherzer, after the game.
Infielder Danny Worth and Armando Galarraga, who will start Sunday's game, were promoted from Toledo.
The Tigers are looking to add more pop in the lineup with Guillen, who's on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. But he could return last this week, and probably will bat sixth when he's back.
