MDSO CutTime Celebrates Black History

The striking Musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra honor black-American history in music with a special program led by DSO bassist, arranger, composer and Kresge Artist Fellow Rick Robinson. His two CutTime ensembles will perform a diverse program including famous classical music by Dvorak, Still, Ellington and Hailstork.

Members of the Brazeal Dennard Chorale will then sing. 2nd half will feature Robinson's Detroit-inspired works inc. his hit City of Trees, plus principal oboist Don Baker.

The performance will take place Saturday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak.

Ticket Pricing are$20 general, $50 VIP seating, available at the door.
