"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" Is Exciting And Unpredictable

DETROIT (WWJ) – I have to admit that when I saw the original "Maze Runner," little did I know what I was in for. Since I hadn't read the book, I assumed I was going to be watching a movie about a group of kids just trying to find their way out of a huge, complicated maze. Yes, it was that. But it was also much more. With that in mind, hopefully, you've seen the movie and/or read the book, so you'll be ready for "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials."

"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is the second installment in the trilogy based on the books written by best-selling author James Dashner. Now that Thomas and his cohorts, known as Gladers, have escaped from the maze, they're searching for clues about the ultra-secretive and authoritarian organization known as WCKD (wicked). When the truth comes to light and they go on the run, the group's journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate area rampant with terrifying obstacles.

This second film is ripe with excitement. For those who haven't read the books, it's unpredictable, and the movie's cast of strange and crazy characters keep the action coming.

"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is a definite go-see if (1) you saw the first; (2) are a fan of the books; or (3) you're looking for something different and thoroughly entertaining. I, for one, can't wait for the third and final film so I can see how they tie up all those loose ends.

See you at the movies!
