It appears the Tigers opponent today is throwing in the towel. Detroit is set to face the White Sox in the finale of a 3 game series in Chicago. Sox are 4 ½ back in the division and now in sell mode as they have traded Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahan to the Blue Jays. Jackson reportedly will then be spun to the St. Louis Cardinals. Tigers are looking to take 2 out of 3 today with Max Scherzer on the hill against left John Danks.

Judge Kimberly Small is throwing Jalen Rose in jail. Sentencing the former Michigan guard to 20 days in jail for a DUI which is his first offense, a letter from Mayor Dave Bing didn't even help his cause.

The Lions are reportedly one of a handful of teams offering a contract to free agent LB Stephen Tulloch, his old team the Tennessee Titans are also in the mix. Tulloch tweeted today that he feels like he is being recruited again to go to college.
