Matt Dery's Daily Update 4-12-11
The Red Wings will head into the playoffs tomorrow night at the Joe without Henrik Zetterberg. The All-Star forward has been ruled out for game 1 against Phoenix, he limped into the Joe today for practice with a brace on his knee. Zetterberg did not skate and Mike Babcock says he does not know if Henrik will be able to play Saturday in game 2. Niklas Kronwall practiced today; Babcock says they will know at game time tomorrow if he will be able to play. Coyotes TV analyst Tyson Nash telling a Phoenix TV station that he thinks the Wings are scared to play Phoenix and that is the underdog Coyotes who have the mental edge.
Tigers before the game say that Joel Zumaya has radiating pain in his right forearm and will visit with specialist Dr. James Andrews next week.
Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon says he has had discussions with Miami Dolphins owner Stephan Ross about playing a neutral site game at Sun Life Stadium, Ross is a U of M alum and Brandon says Miami and South Florida is an important recruiting area.
