Matt Dery's Daily Update 2-28-11
The Pistons seem to have cleaned up their mess up at the practice facility this morning. Rip Hamilton and John Kuester both confirm that they have finally talked and cleared the air and have no moved on. Neither said what was said or when but the two were spotted working together after practice today. Hamilton says media reports of a team mutiny are way over blown. Rip says it was never about him versus Kuester. Hamilton continued to say he's fine with the coach and is working toward helping the team gets back to the playoffs. Rip says he will be questionable for tomorrow night's game in Milwaukee. Meantime team president Joe Dumars issued a statement which can be read HERE.
Jimmy Howard is going nowhere; the Red Wings today have resigned their goalie to a new 2 year contract worth a reported 4.5 million dollars. Howard is in net tonight as the Wings take on the Kings in L.A. NHL trade deadline has come and gone and the Wings stay pat.
Miguel Cabrera made his spring debut for the Tigers today going 0-2 with a pair of groundouts. Tigers top the Yankees 5-2 the good news Ryan Streiby had a 2 run single, bad news Daniel Schlereth left the game in the 8th with a strained hamstring.
