The Red Wings will get a well deserved day off today after breaking the record for most consecutive home wins in NHL history with 21. Nashville comes to town on Friday night and it could be the last game before Jimmy Howard's return who hopes to return Sunday against San Jose.

The Pistons hit the road tonight, a back to back as they face the Celtics in Boston. Detroit has dropped 2 in a row after winning 4 straight. Celtics are banged up; Kevin Garnett has a hip flexor injury but did go through shoot around today and is now probable to play according to Doc Rivers. Jermaine O'Neal and Michael Pietrus are game time decisions.

The Jeremy Lin ride makes a stop at Madison Square Garden tonight. The Knicks have won 6 in a row and 5 straight with Lin as the starter at the point. Knicks host Sacramento.
