The Lions return to Allen Park today an 8-5 football team. With three games remaining, Detroit is in the driver's seat for the final playoff spot in the NFC with a one game lead over Chicago and Dallas, who are both 7-6. The Chiefs have said goodbye to Head Coach Todd Haley, firing him today after a 5-8 start. Defensive Romeo Crennel takes over on an interim basis.

The Pistons have officially waived Rip Hamilton. Joe Dumars in a statement called Rip a champion and thanked him for his nine years here. Sources tell 97.1 The Ticket that the Pistons do have some interest in free agent Willie Green. Yahoo Sports reports that Ex-Golden State Warriors' PG Reggie Williams is also someone the Pistons have talked to.
