As outrageous a story as you can find, as the Lions Ndamukong Suh reportedly fined $15,000 by the NFL for his hit on Jay Cutler for Sunday. His agent Roosey Barnes tells forxsportsdetroit.com that it is 'ridiculous'. Suh was flagged 15 yards for a blow to the back of Cutler's head Sunday by referee Ed Hochuli; it's the second time this season that Suh has been fined for unnecessary roughness on the QB. Lions did see some progress today at practice from Matthew Stafford; the QB did throw lightly on the side today but did not practice. Drew Stanton is talking all of the first team reps once again and will start Sunday when the Packers come to town. Lions also make a roster move today; CB Alfonso Smith is out for the year because of an injured shoulder. Fellow CB Prince Miller has been signed off Baltimore's practice squad. Kyle Van Den Boesch's season is also done; he'll undergo neck surgery today.

Jimmy Howard is in net tonight for the Wings, Kris Draper is playing and Drew Miller is out as Detroit plays host to Nashville tonight at the Joe.

The Pistons travel to New Orleans tonight for a date with the Hornets. Detroit is looking to end a 6 game road losing streak.
