The Lions are gearing up for their weekend road trip to Oakland and still shorthanded on defense. It was another practice day without Louis Delmas, Eric Wright, Aaron Berry, Justin Durant and Nick Fairley, who were all sitting out today's workout. Fairley is hoping to play Sunday in Oakland, the "Black Hole" which is a tough place to play. Chris Houston is practicing for the second straight day and should be able to play Sunday.

Red Wings have another injury to deal with. Forward Chris Conner is out for two weeks with a hand injury. Detroit is at Nashville tonight and looking for their 4^th straight win, with 21-year-old forward Tomas Tatar moved up from Grand Rapids.
