Man Found Fatally Shot In Novi

Novi police say a man found dead in his apartment was shot several times. Officers were asked to check on 55-year-old Nicholas Ianni because no one had heard from him in several days. When police arrived, they found the body of Ianni inside his River Oaks West apartment, on Novi Road near Ten Mile.

A business associate had phoned the Police Department indicating his colleague had not been heard from in a couple of days and, as he had some medical issues, he was concerned for his well-being.

Police are calling the death a homicide with the preliminary cause of death being multiple gun shot wounds to the torso.  An autopsy, performed this morning by the Oakland County Medical Examiners Office, confirmed this manner of death.
