Magglio Will Test His Ankle On Friday
Magglio Ordonez could have come off the DL as early as today and he is not ready yet. However Ordonez will go through an on-field workout at Comerica Park to test the strength of his injured right ankle that put him on the DL and the same one he broke last season. Magglio has 99 at-bats this season hitting .172 with no power hitting 1 HR and has 5 RBI. Before today's game against the Boston Red Sox Jim Leyland said 'he's going to run a little bit, shag a little bit and hit some.' When Leyland was asked if Magglio would be available for Saturday he said "he will not be activated Saturday. That I can promise you."
