LumaSmart Gets UL Certification of Three LED Products
Macomb Township-based LumaSmart Technology International Inc. said Wednesday that Underwriters Laboratory Inc. has determined three new LumaSmart LED lighting products are worthy of the UL Certified seal.
The UL Certification assures consumers that the products have been tested by the independent safety science company and found to be safe and effective.
LumaSmart's LED lighting systems are mercury and CFC-free, environmentally friendly and designed to provide ample, consistent light output at a lower cost and with less heat than conventional light sources.
LumaSmart Half Cutoff Wallpack (175 to 200-watt high intensity discharge equivalent): The LumaSmart LED Wallpack outperforms other LED Wallpacks claiming to replace 175 to 200 watt fixtures and does so at a significantly lower cost.
LumaSmart Parking Garage/Deck Light (150-175-watt HID Equivalent): The LumaSmart LED Parking Garage/Deck Light, which replaces existing high pressure sodium and metal halide fixtures, is ideal for parking decks, garages, tunnels, walkways and storage areas.
LumaSmart Parking Lot/Area Light (Available in 400-watt, 250-watt and 150-watt HID Equivalent): Designed for parking areas, tennis courts, shopping centers, commercial and residential complexes – any area requiring wide coverage to help ensure a well-lighted, safe environment.
All three LumaSmart LED products have an average rated life of 50,000 hours, a five year warranty and are rated for use in wet locations. LumaSmart LED products also provide consistent light output at a significantly reduced cost compared to other solutions, often providing a return on investment within two to three years of installation, depending upon hours of use and cost of electricity.
