The Detroit Lions have announced, Tuesday morning, that they have signed running backs Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell. Both are 28-years-old entering their sixth NFL seasons.

To make room on the roster to sign the two, the Lions released waived/injured cornerback Maurice Leggett and fullback Preston Dial.

Both runnings backs plus Maurice Morris will compete for the teams second running back spot as Mikel Leshoure was lost for the season with a torn achilles.
