Lions Given One More Day To Avoid Blackout

The Lions have about 2,500 tickets remaining for Sunday's home game against the St. Louis Rams and have been granted a 24-hour extension by the NFL to avoid a blackout in local television markets.
If the Lions cannot sell out by 1 p.m. Friday, the game will be blacked out in the Detroit, Lansing, Toledo and Flint/Saginaw TV markets.
The Lions also announced they placed receiver Tim Toone on active injured reserve with an undisclosed injury that has ended his season.
Toone, the so-called Mr. Irrelevant as the final pick in the NFL draft in April, had been on the team's practice squad. The Lions signed rookie Alric Arnett, a 6-foot-2, 188-pound receiver from West Virginia, to the practice squad. The Indianapolis Colts cut Arnett from their practice squad Tuesday.
