Lions, First-Round Pick Jahvid Best Agree To 5-Year Contract
One down, one to go.
The Lions signed running back Jahvid Best, the second of their first-round draft picks (No. 30 overall), to a five-year contract Friday, just about the time the team officially kicked off its training camp at 6 p.m.
The deal is for $12.7 million, $7.1 million guaranteed, according to a league source.
