Keep Michigan's Beaches 'Barefoot Friendly'
Detroit (CBS Detroit) - Help protect the Great Lakes by joining in on one of the upcoming adopt-a-Beach™ cleanups. The Great Lakes contain twenty percent of the Earth's surface fresh water. During last year's efforts, more than 12,000 Adopt-a-Beach™ volunteers removed 42,351 pounds of trash at 327 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. Barefoot wine sponsored beach clean ups are also accompanied by a celebration where volunteers age 21 and older are invited to attend an event featuring Barefoot Wine and surf-inspired fare.
