Brandon Twp. Man Found Safe In Pontiac

UPDATE: Police say Rock Franklin Chartier was found safe in Pontiac.

BRANDON TWP. (WWJ) - A K-9 search is under way Thursday afternoon for Rock Franklin Chartier, whom police say walked away from his home in the 600 block of State Park Road in Brandon Township.

Chartier was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and carrying a suitcase. He suffers from schizophrenia and is considered an endangered person, police said, adding he may be attempting to hitchhike to Florida.

Police say he has no cellphone, access to money or mode of transportation.

Officers believe he may be in the Pontiac area on foot
