Howell Man Treating Patients Without A Dental License
OKEMOS (WWJ) - He wasn't a real dentist, and so authorities have barred a Howell man from treating patients after a judge determined he was practicing dentistry without a license.
Livingston County Circuit Judge David Reader issued a permanent injunction against Douglas Sowkin and the clinic he operated, Accent Denture Center in Howell.
The Michigan Dental Association filed a lawsuit after receiving numerous complaints from people who had dentures implanted by Sowkin.
