Hop Lot, Watermark earn spots on 10 Best Beer Gardens in US list
Michigan earned two spots on the 10 Best Beer Gardens in the US 2025 list presented by USA Today.
The beer garden sites, all featuring outdoor spaces for socializing, were nominated by a panel of beer experts and voted on by USA Today readers as "the best spots to enjoy a beer outdoors."
The number 2 and number 3 ranked spots on that list, respectively, were Hop Lot Brewing Company in Suttons Bay and Watermark Brewing Company in Stevensville.
Hop Lot Brewing Company was established in 2015 as a family-friendly brewery; with a tap list that features about a dozen selections. Visitors can take their seats at a campfire or picnic table; or select an igloo spot during the winter.
Watermark Brewing Company was founded in 2016, with a taproom that features an evolving lineup of craft beers. The beer garden space features comfortable seating, fire pits and open air views. Area food trucks make stops, and guests are invited to bring their own food to enjoy with the beverages.
The other sites on the list were in Washington, Texas, New Jersy, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio.
