Home For Refugee Family Vandalized Before Move-In Date
LANSING (WWJ) - A Lansing home that was being prepped for the arrival of an overseas refugee family--has been vandalized.
While nothing was taken from the house -- many items were soiled or trashed when a fire extinguisher was sprayed in the home. The Lansing State Journal says it's not clear yet whether police are classifying it as a hate crime.
St. Vincent Catholic Charities, which is sponsoring the family, says they don't know where the family is from, but they'll have to stay in temporary housing until the home is repaired.
