Highland Park Police Chase Ends In Crash

What started as a traffic stop ended in a police chase and a multi-vehicle crash near McNichols and Dequindre Thursday evening.

Highland Park police attempted to make a traffic stop when the driver took off.

A chase began, and then one of the police cars hit a vehicle sitting in the intersection. Another police car entered the intersection and hit a utility pole.

One officer was injured....and at least three people were hurt in the car that was hit. All were taken to Sinai-Grace Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police later caught the suspect they'd been chasing. Detroit Police are assisting in the investigation.
