Health Care Company Helps Develop Healthy New Businesses

DETROIT (WWJ) - One of the nation's largest health care company's is helping to get some new businesses up and running.

WWJ's Vickie Thomas spoke with Dr. Marilyn French Hubbard, who  is president and CEO of Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Change Agents. The company is heading up the enterprising health program for Ascension Health.

"We've funded over 13 businesses right in our community and in Flint , one is a Healthy Dollar Store, they are going to be selling fruits and vegetables out of a dollar store concept," said French Hubbard.

"So the space we are in, really our innovation and transformation center, within the space  we want to bring individuals here to help them ... create vision," said French Hubbard.

Hubbard's company just moved into its new office space in the the lofts at Amsterdam II on Burroughs.
