Man In Custody In Hamtramck Murder Case

HAMTRAMCK (WWJ) - A break in a Hamtramck murder case. Investigators tell WWJ they have a "person of interest" in custody in connection with the death of a woman at the Hamtramck Senior Plaza.

An autopsy is planned for Tuesday to determine how the 41-year old died, but relatives say she was stabbed in her apartment. The suspect allegedly stole the victim's car. He was arrested Monday night.

Hamtramck police say the woman was found beaten to death, Monday, on the fifth floor of the Hamtramck Senior Plaza on Holbrook Street. The woman's name has not been released and no other details have been given.
