ALLENDALE (WWJ) -- Grand Valley State University said Monday it had signed a reverse transfer agreement July 18 with Gogebic Community College near Ironwood.
The agreement helps students who transferred to Grand Valley complete an associate's degree at the community college, located in the farthest western corner of the Upper Peninsula. The initiative applies to students who have completed at least 45 credits at GCC, but transferred to Grand Valley before earning an associate's degree.
Grand Valley has 19 reverse transfer agreements with community colleges across the state, including Grand Rapids, Alpena, Mid-Michigan, Muskegon, West Shore, Southwestern Michigan, Montcalm, Mott, Lansing, Macomb, Wayne County District, Northwestern Michigan, Jackson, Washtenaw, Lake Michigan, North Central Michigan, Glen Oaks, Kellogg, and Gogebic community colleges.
