Gunshots Ring Out At 'All Class Reunion' In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Gunshots were fired at the 'All Class Reunion' on the grounds of the now closed Mackenzie High School on Detroit's west side.

WWJ's Stephanie Davis was there for the reunion on Wyoming and West Chicago when she said all of a sudden there was a noise of shots fired in the crowd.

"I saw a guy running holding his sides, it turns out he had been shot, I don't know if it was serious, although he didn't seem like he was in a great deal of pain. There were more gun shots minutes later, at least 5000 people started running. No one knew who was shooting, people just started running, it was almost chaos,  people just trying to get away from the gunshots," said Davis.

Police and EMS were on the scene in minutes says Davis.

"I think people were running, then people just started packing up and leaving ... some people just left everything and ran," said Davis.

Police tell WWJ that the alleged suspect is in custody.
