Guilty Pleas Coming In DPS Corruption Case
Guilty pleas are expected in the case of corruption involving the Detroit Public Schools.
Four of seven people indicted last Fall will be pleading guilty in the coming days to charges alleging they inflated invoices and handed out kickbacks to a DPS Executive Director.
Marilyn White and Sally Jo Bond, partners with "Associates for Learning," are accused of over billing DPS by about $2 million and giving STephen Hill the former head of the district's Risk Management department a cut of the money.
The two will reportedly plead guilty by early February. And two more--Valerie Polk and Thomas Taylor indicted in the case will plead guilty as well.
They are accused of giving Hill money and buying him new convertible Mustang and Dodge Durango.
