One of the drivers involved in a two-vehicle traffic crash Saturday in Oakland County, Michigan, has died.

Dwaine Paul McCutcheon, 69, of Groveland Township, died Monday at an area hospital, two days after he was injured in the crash in Independence Township, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported.

The crash happened about 10:13 p.m. Saturday, when McCutcheon pulled out from a driveway on Ortonville Road near Amy Drive. In the meantime, a 25-year-old Holly man was driving southbound on Ortonville Road; and his 2008 Honda Civic collided with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven by McCutcheon.

The Honda driver was not injured.

Independence Township Fire Department paramedics took McCutcheon to an area hospital; his injuries at the time "were not believed to be life-threatening," the report said. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.

The crash remains under investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
