Grief Counselors On Hand For Students At Elementary School
In the wake of the triple murder and suicide of a Novi family, the school the two young boys attended is preparing to help students deal with their grief.
Northville Public Schools superintendent Dr. Leonard Rezmierski says it's an unspeakable tragedy, the murders of 6-year-old Tynan and 4-year-old Camden Schons and their mother Jennifer by their father, Mark Schons, before he killed himself. He says the schools have their crisis team in place.
"We have mobilized our staff around this, our crisis team is in place." Rezmierski said.
Rezmierski told WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fisher, the school children may feel vulnerable but they will have counselors available for kids and staff at Thornton Creek Elementary School throughout the week.
Novi Police say the Schons had marital and financial troubles.
