Good Question: Would You Buy The New Tattooed Barbie?

The newest Barbie came out this week with all the old accessories: Overflowing bosom, tiny waist, trendy outfit, pursed lips and beautiful, blown-out hair.

But she also has something new: Neck tattoos.

That's right, Miss Thing has black and white tattoos on her shoulder and around her neck. She's also wearing leopard leggings, a pink wig, and walking a dog encased in what looks like a spiky dinosaur costume.

When little girls play with her, do they have to take her out of the Dream House, and move her to Jesse James' garage?

Known officially as the Barbie Famous Friends Tokidoki Doll, it was created by designer Simone Legno and marketed as "striking."

"With cactus friend, Bastardino, by her side, she's ready for fun in fashion-forward form," says the Tokidoki website.

The new tattooed Barbie retails at many online retailers for $50, although it already sold out on the Tokidoki site.

So, does this newest version of Barbie glamorize something mothers don't want their little girls to become -- neck- tattooed, tiny-skirt-wearing unemployables? Or is it just fantasy, and Barbie was never meant to serve as a role model?
