Funeral Services Set For Couple Killed While Sitting In Parked Car
DETROIT (WWJ) - Funeral services are in place for the Detroit couple killed over the weekend by a wayward driver in the parking lot of the Bel Air shopping center near Eight Mile and Van Dyke.
Visitation for Tina and Cedric Thornton, both 43 years old, is Friday afternoon at Cantrell Funeral Home on Mack in Detroit. The funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Dickerson.
Tina Thornton was being treated for ovarian cancer and was caring for four nieces and nephews. Cedric Thornton was going to school to be a pharmacist. The 20-year-old driver of the car police say crashed into the couple remains hospitalized.
