Funeral For Sheriff's Department Dive Team Member
DETROIT (WWJ) - A funeral Mass will take place Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Ira Township, for a member of the St Clair County Dive Team that died this past weekend.
Authorities say 56-year old John Makuch died after suffering a heart attack during training at the Port Huron YMCA Sunday morning. Fellow dive team members attempted to revive him.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Makuch joined the Sheriff's Office Dive Team in 1991. He was a member of the Dive Team Board of Directors and an assistant dive chief.
