Flowers, Candles And Letters Placed At Site In Memory Of Teen Killed In Accident

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - A memorial of flowers, candles and letters is set up at the site of a deadly accident in Sterling Heights where a 17-year old died.

Police say the older driver, a Warren firefighter, was driving an SUV that crossed the center line on Plumbrook Rd. near Plainview Friday night and crashed into the teen's car.

Investigators are trying to determine if the 42-year old had been drinking or speeding.  Pozderca's car was pushed 75 feet back from where the collision occurred.

The firefighter was last reported in critical condition.

A gofundme.com account has been created to help Pozderca's family pay for funeral expenses. As of Monday, more than $10,000 had been raised toward the goal of $15,000. To make a donation, visit gofundme.com/dianapozderca.
