Five Spartans Earn Big Ten Defensive Honors

Despite a disappointing regular season, Michigan State had five players honored by the Big Ten on Tuesday when the conference handed out its defense/special teams awards.
A brief list of honorees is below.
All-Big Ten Defense (As voted on by the coaches)
Second team: DL Malik McDowell
Third team: LB Riley Bullough
Honorable mention: CB Darian Hicks, S Montae Nicholson
