Explosion Reported On Zug Island
RIVER ROUGE (WWJ) - Authorities are trying to determine what led to an explosion at the U.S. Steel plant in River Rouge.
The incident happened late Monday night at the plant on Zug Island, a heavily industrialized island just south of Detroit.
At least two people were sent to Detroit Receiving Hospital's burn unit; the extent of their injuries and conditions are unknown.
A cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
