GVSU workshop on negotiating across global cultures: Beyond basic cultural etiquette, effective negotiation with different cultures requires a deeper understanding of values, beliefs and the social and economic structures within the country. The Van Andel Global Trade Center at Grand Valley State University is sponsoring a workshop, "Negotiating Effectively Across Global Cultures," on Sept. 20. Workshop participants will receive a road map for planning negotiations and outcomes when doing business with foreign countries. Panelists at the program include Steve Bayus, vice president of operations at SoundOff Signal;
Gayle Jacobs, partner at International Risk Consultants, Inc.; Debra Quade, supplier diversity at Kellogg Company; and Mike Ricco, Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley.
