At this forum you will learn about personality traits that impact entrepreneurialism, creating a marketing plan for your business, legal, accounting, and risk considerations, product development, business plans and financing options. Detroit Speed-Interview Job Fair Links Candidate To Corporations: A Speed-Interview Job Fair sponsored by, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31 at the Westin Hotel-Southfield allows both the interviewee and hiring company to assess the potential match of candidate to corporation.  It also exposes the applicant to a large number of hiring companies in a short timeframe, thereby maximizing the candidate's chance of finding a job. More than 40 companies are ready to interview and hire candidates; it is mandatory candidates dress for success. Participating employers will hire in the following industries: Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Management, Retail, Information Technology, Machining, Restaurant, Medical and many other great industries. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westin Hotel Southfield, 1500 Town Center. Startup Soup Nominations now open: Want to pitch your social business venture for a chance to win funds plus business training from TechTown? Apply to pitch at Startup Soup on Friday, Nov. 9 at Nominations close Sunday, Oct. 14. Each entrepreneur, hand picked by a panel of expert judges, will have five minutes to present their business and field questions from the crowd. Attendees then enjoy soup, discuss the businesses and vote for their favorite. Not interested in pitching but want to attend? You're welcome to attend.
