Plex Systems VP To Discuss Future Of Manufacturing at Annual Tech Crawl: Plex Systems Inc., provider of the No. 1 rated manufacturing ERP software Plex Online, announced that Marketing Vice President Patrick Fetterman will address automotive leaders during Day One of the Detroit Tech Crawl 2010, June 30. This event is being held at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth. Fetterman's address begins at 9 a.m. Now in its seventh year, the Tech Crawl is hosted annually by AutoCom to expose its automotive customers and the automotive media community to the latest advances in technology development. More than 60 industry leaders, editors, and reporters are expected to attend the half-day June 30 event, with an additional 60 expected on Day Two of the event scheduled for July 14 in Birmingham. Among the topics covered by Fetterman will be the use of Plex Online to enable amphibious vehicle manufacturer Gibbs Technologies to establish world-class manufacturing processes at its North American headquarters, recently opened in Auburn Hills. Third international workshop on sustainability guided by Lawrence Tech professor: A series of professional workshops on sustainable buildings in Israel is the third international workshop on sustainable construction funded by the National Science Foundation that has been organized by University Distinguished Professor Nabil Grace, dean of the College of Engineering at Lawrence Technological University. Recurring themes of the workshops are the development of innovative materials, the efficient use of energy, and new construction approaches that will lead to more efficient and sustainable construction and reduced long-term costs. The workshops bring together leading scholars from the United States, many of whom have strong ties with other countries, with experts from the host countries. Lawrence Tech and the host institutions will submit proposals to NSF for joint research projects. In organizing the Israel workshop in July, Grace has been joined by two professors from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, and professors for the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the University of California, Davis.
